I am a University Lecturer and researcher at Coventry University. In 2022-2023, I was the principal investigator on the research project Creative Futures, a collaboration between Coventry University and the Defence Science and Technology Laboratory. (DSTL).
I write stories in fantasy, science fiction and horror. My current work is the ongoing Fractal Series.

I was also co-lead writer of Phoenix Point a computer game produced by Snapshot Games.
I have a Ph. D. from the University of Winchester and a Masters Degree from the University of Bedfordshire in Science Fiction and Fantasy world-building. I also write music for audio books and audio dramas and have composed work that has featured in award winning short films.

I'm the current chair of the British Science Fiction Association and maintain a blog, which you can find linked from from this site. You can also find links to my music, articles I've had published and the books that I've written.

I'm was also one of the original co-host's of Lave Radio, the Elite Dangerous podcast and helped run the annual convention Lavecon.
